Grew up in Texas and raised in a journalism family in San Antonio,
TX. Attended San Antonio College, Palomar College,
San Diego State and UCLA, with bulk of coursework at the
University of Texas in Austin. Also attended numerous
screenwriting, filmmaking and directing classes over the years.
For the
past twenty-five years, has written numerous screenplays, several
of which have been optioned, has been hired to write scripts
on a number of occasions, and has been in and out of development
hell well enough to know the devil first hand.
Worked almost six years for a
major film studio in a sensitive, highly litigious financial department.
Was CEO & President of an
Internet company for over three years during the dot-com roller
coaster ride of the late '90's and early new millennium, and
experienced all the wacky craziness of the highest highs to the
lowest lows.
In early years, also worked as a freelance
writer and photographer, and of course; bartender, chimney sweep,
oil rig hand, salt mine worker, taxi driver, salesman, fruit
packer, truck driver, forklift operator, etc., all fodder for
his stories.
Has
also worked on several films in various capacities, from
production assistant to producer, while also directing several
shorts. After developing
his own screenplay, he recently directed and produced that
project, his first feature film.
Has
written one book, on a mystical subject, and is working on a
sci-fi novel. Besides writing and filmmaking, he enjoys
motorcycling, tennis, photography, hiking, traveling and
meditation. He has also researched and practiced several
alternative metaphysical, mystical and spiritual practices.
And
finally, he currently lives in southern CA with his wife (part
time in northern CA). His two
sons have now left home and are either in school, between
jobs, or just goofing off, hopefully always experiencing life to
its fullest.
"DREAMS AWAKE"
'A Mystical Adventure'
